About Apex Construction

Set up in December 2003, Apex Construction Ltd continues to build on its success in the Industry. During 2006, we achieved both ISO9001:2000 and Investors in People, which we have successfully retained during 2009. In addition we are a registered supplier on Achilles pre-qualification scheme, Verify, in Category B1, and with Construction Line. We also hold CHAS (Contractors Health and Safety) accreditation and are members of CECA – the Civil Engineering Contractors Association www.ceca.co.uk

During 2009, we have been working towards OHSAS 18001 standard, which we expect to achieve by the end of the year. This will incorporate both ISO9001:2000 (Quality), 14001 (Environmental Standards) and Health and Safety.

This will give us the foundations of the business and will allow us to develop further over the coming years. We have a well trained, experienced workforce and a select list of sub-contractors with whom we work closely to provide a service that is second to none. We will continue to provide a good, all round cost –effective and efficient service, whilst ensuring a safe working environment for all concerned. We endeavour to cause as little disruption to the clients business as possible, and are aware of the importance of client/contractor communication and co-ordination, particularly where there is an interface between our works and the clients’

To support the civil engineering side of the business, we have added a Building Division to the organisation and are now able to offer a range of building services, for commercial projects, including heritage works, conversions and new build.

Photographs of some of the works we have undertaken over the past few years can be seen on the gallery pages of this site. We are experienced in the rebuilding and renovation of Brick Arch Bridges over the canals and waterways of England, adding another two to the list in 2006; both of these involved the use of traditional methods and materials including Lime mortar and render. Our client list includes British Waterways, British Waterways Marinas Ltd (www.bwml.co.uk), the Environment Agency, and English Heritage, along with main contractors and private clients.

We have the experience to carry out work using water-borne plant and equipment and have our own workboat ‘Nell’. We can also undertake other difficult and awkward projects often found daunting to other contractors.
